About Earthful Foundation

Earthful foundation realizes that people and their livelihood rely on earth and productivity of our landscapes. It works in areas that help conservation of these natural resources like environment and biodiversity conservation,  while sustainability of industries like agriculture, mining, tourism, fisheries and forestry. Resources are consumed by mankind everyday, digging of earth for petroleum, cutting trees for paper, expanding concrete habitats and indirectly by developing synthetic material which doesn’t decompose, industries, vehicles causing smoke, pollution. We seek to monitor that these effects can be limited, reversed by using the materials effectively.

The Four Fundamentals Of Earthful

Reduce

We can help reducing the consumption by replacing one time use products by changing habits and carrying and sharing the amenities and resources.

Recovery

The waste material can be treated and recovered in form of energy.

Reuse

Passing on the products to others once we outgrow the need of it can save the making of new products remarkably.

Recycle

Once the life cycle of a product ends it can be recycled and the material can be used again, reducing the digging of fresher material.

Our Projects

XOKAAH - Flood Relief

Flood is a yearly experience for people of Assam. Every year a great loss occurs to the people be it life or property. The situation is aggravated by lack of pre-flood preparedness. Also post flood relief measures are often limited due to insufficient funds. Floods are natural phenomenon that can’t be stopped; hence preparedness and post flood damage mitigation are of utmost importance in the ground. Earthful Foundation has been actively involved in flood relief activities for last few years under Project “Xokaah”.

Project Good Waste

The model of Project Good Waste was replicated to various schools in 2019 and we aim to spread the good work all across the country. Under this project, three color dustbins are placed at appropriate places in the school and the usage, as per the color code, is taught to the school team. Organic composting of green waste is taught and made. The application is monitored and checked for months. A final inspection is done and school is given a Green Stamp on successfully achieving the compliance.
