Green Shop Initiative
The green shop initiative is a series of events initiated by Earthful foundation to raise awareness against plastic abuse and to promote use of alternatives.
1. Placard Campaign 9th March 2019
Team Earthful went around the Ambikagirinagar Chariali and Hatigarh Chariali shops, hanging “Be Earthful” wooden boards made by the team itself, pasting posters which guide customers on “How to be an Earthful shopper”. The shopkeepers supported by participating in the placard campaign to raise awareness among customers.

2. Distribution of Cloth Bag at Shops 8th March 2019
We went around asking shopowners if they would like to buy some cloth bags from us, for the same amount as they have been manufactured, and present their customers with a choice from now onwards- if they would be willing to buy a cloth bag and reuse it or would they still ignore the environment around them and continue to ask for plastic bags

3. Distribution of Paper Bags to local vendors 1st March 2019
The students of Maria public school made around 1000 paper bags, all by themselves, and came with us to go around the shops, distributing these paper bags, explaining to the local vendors about why giving polythene is going to ruin us all and requesting them to make a change by starting with the paper bags they crafted.
